I'll just throw in Project Aphrodite as well. That is AFAIK the biggest missile of WWII, Bat probably the most modern in concept and Fido and its successors the most successful. Looking pretty good...

Nope, the strength is delivering a 1,000lb bomb (that was in the wiki article) from outside AA gun range, the weakness is the cost of the delivery system that gets destroyed in doing it successfully...
